Terms and conditions

How we work together. You bring the idea. We make it real. The jobs board is separate: roles from around the web, not studio openings.

01

Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of RemoteOK Pro ("we", "us", "our"), including remoteokpro.com, the studio, and the jobs board.

By using the site, sending us an idea, starting a build, joining a conversation about embedding our team, creating an account, or browsing the jobs board, you agree to these Terms.

Sending a message through the contact form is not a contract. A paid engagement starts only when both sides confirm the work in writing.

02

Who we are

RemoteOK Pro is a high-throughput product studio. You bring the idea. We make it real. We take product ideas and get them live: software products, AI tools, and the systems underneath.

If you already have a team, ours can join it. For as long as we are on it, we treat the work as ours too.

We also run a remote jobs board for seekers. Roles are collected from around the web. They are not studio openings.

03

Two ways we work

We take the product. You bring an idea or a rough sketch. You stay the founder. We get it live: software, systems, and AI tools.

Our team can join yours. If you already have engineering or product people and need more, our team can sit with yours. They still work like the product is theirs.

We are not a staffing agency and we do not run a consultancy marketplace. A build or an embedded team is a studio engagement, agreed in writing.

04

How a build works

Catch the idea. You bring a product or a sketch. We figure out what needs to exist first and what can wait.

Take ownership. We do not keep a bench. A small squad owns the outcome. If it slips, that is on us.

Build at throughput. We use AI where it saves time and people where judgment matters. You get working software, not status meetings.

Put it in the world. It ships. People can use it. Then you keep it, keep us on, or we wrap up cleanly.

Scope, timeline, and commercial terms for a specific build are set out in a written proposal, statement of work, or email confirmation. If those conflict with these Terms, the written engagement controls for that work.

05

Fees and payment

Studio work is billed as agreed in writing for that engagement. There is no published percentage of salary and no placement fee.

Unless we say otherwise in writing, invoices are due as stated on the invoice. Unpaid amounts may pause the work.

Starting a conversation, sharing an idea, or using the jobs board does not create a fee.

06

What you own

You stay the founder. Subject to payment of amounts owed for that engagement, you own the work product we create for you in that engagement: the product, the code delivered to you, and the thing people can use.

We keep our own tools: methods, internal systems, prompts, agents, templates, and anything we brought to the work or reuse across clients. We may use general knowledge and non-confidential patterns from a build.

You confirm you have the right to share the idea, materials, and access you give us, and that using them will not infringe someone else's rights.

07

Confidentiality

Ideas, product details, access, and business information you share for a build are confidential. We use them to do the work, not to compete with you or to pass them to another client.

We may share confidential information with people on the squad who need it to deliver, under the same duty.

This does not cover information that is already public, that we already knew, that we receive from someone else who may share it, or that we have to disclose by law.

If a separate NDA is signed, that NDA controls where it is more specific.

08

Jobs board

The jobs board is a list of remote roles collected from around the web, for people looking. It is not a list of openings at the studio.

We do not employ the people who apply, and we do not hire for the companies whose roles appear there, unless a listing says otherwise.

Listings come from third parties. Titles, pay, locations, and descriptions can be incomplete or out of date. Apply and evaluate employers yourself.

If you create an account, apply, or post a role, you must provide accurate information and only use the board for lawful job seeking or hiring. Do not scrape, spam, or misrepresent who you are.

We may remove listings, limit access, or close accounts that abuse the board.

09

Accounts and the site

You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your login details to yourself.

Do not misuse the site: no breaking security, no automated harvesting beyond ordinary browsing, no posting unlawful or misleading content, and no interfering with other people's use.

The site, brand, and our original content belong to RemoteOK Pro. You may not copy them except as needed to use the site.

10

Disclaimers

The site and jobs board are provided as is. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that the site will always be available, or that a conversation will become a build.

Studio work is professional services. We work to get a usable product into the world. We do not guarantee a particular business outcome, fundraising result, or user number unless a written engagement says so.

11

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Our total liability for a studio engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement in the three months before the claim. Our total liability for use of the site or jobs board is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

12

Ending the work

You can stop a conversation at any time. Either side may end a paid engagement as the written terms for that work allow, or with written notice if those terms are silent.

We may suspend or end access to the site or jobs board if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.

On wrap-up, we hand over the work product you have paid for. Amounts already owed remain due. Confidentiality and the ownership terms survive.

13

Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated Terms apply from the date we post them on this page. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the update.

A written engagement already in progress is not changed by a later update to this page, unless both sides agree.
